Taco Tuesday calls!

The amount of ketchup in the recipe is a little weird, but I highly recommend you start there as it’s incredible. We have already ordered our second brisket and are going to try to vary the recipe but only by a little bit, just to put our stamp on it! It fell apart as we were eating it, so moist and rich

The brisket was being delivered fresh, not frozen and was supposed to be delivered on a Friday. I received an email from UPS that the delivery had been rescheduled to the following Monday, making it uneatible. I contacted First Light Farms and they had another brisket sent to me right away. Not only are their products great, the customer services is even better! Everyone I have dealt with there has been friendly and professional and pleasure to talk to. FYI - I smoked the brisket and it was awesome!!

Best brisket around!

I think I’ve ordered the FL brisket at least three times, and I always love it and get rave reviews from my guests. My friend who’s the biggest meat enthusiast I know says it’s the best he’s ever had. The only downside is there are hardly any leftovers! I always smoke it low and slow, though I would note that it cooks faster than grain fed, so it’s important to have a couple good temperature sensors to make sure you wrap it and take it off at the right times. It also usually comes better trimmed than other places, so a little less prep time required. If you haven’t tried this before, I highly recommend it.
